Welcome to the Kingdom!

The Kingdom: Year Two of ECR’s Student Section

El Camino Real Charter High School is proud to celebrate the second year of The Kingdom, our official student section that has quickly become the heartbeat of ECR athletics.

This year, our Student Council will continue to lead the charge as the Keepers of the Kingdom, bringing unmatched energy, unity, and pride to every game. Under the supervision and leadership of Brian Wilson and Lynsey Shano, the Student Council has taken school spirit to new heights—transforming the culture of our campus and building an atmosphere where spirit has never been stronger.

The Kingdom has become more than a student section—it’s a movement. From the stands to the field, our Keepers inspire athletes, rally the crowd, and remind everyone what it means to be part of the ECR Royal family.

As we look ahead to another exciting year of athletics, we know the Keepers of the Kingdom will reign strong, fueling our teams with pride, passion, and the undeniable roar of The Kingdom.

Celebrating Our Student Marketing Team

This year at El Camino Real Charter High School, we introduced something new—student staff working alongside our Marketing Department to shine a spotlight on ECR athletics and individual athletes. These talented students have helped us tell the story of our teams in ways we’ve never done before, using photography, videography, and social media to bring our community closer to the action.

Seniors Eliza Lotterstein, Michael Spencer, Julian Saffie and Hadley Preston have been instrumental in building this program over the past two years, setting the standard for creativity and dedication. Joining them this year are Miguel Markowski, a foreign exchange student from Germany, and Keely Shortall, a sophomore whose energy and vision represent the future of this initiative. Together, they’ve captured unforgettable moments, created engaging content, and helped elevate the visibility of ECR athletics.

We want to thank these students for their hard work and commitment. They’ve not only supported our athletes—they’ve started something special at ECR. Their efforts have laid the foundation for a program that will continue to grow, giving future students the opportunity to learn, create, and make an impact.

2025-26 Student Marketing Team

Eliza Lotterstein is a passionate, self-taught photographer and senior at ECR. Since picking up her first camera at a football game in 2022, she has developed a love for capturing dynamic sports moments and school events.

Her work has been featured in The Royal Courier, Yearbook, and across ECR's social media platforms, where she regularly provides photo coverage for campus activities, showcasing her eye for detail and storytelling through imagery.

Hadley Preston is a senior at ECR and a dedicated member of the Student Marketing Team. From the sidelines of Friday night football games, Hadley captures the energy, spirit, and pride of ECR athletics through her creative lens.

Known for her reliability, strong eye for detail, and collaborative nature, she works seamlessly with fellow student marketers and our marketing staff to ensure every moment reflects the excitement and school spirit that define the ECR community.

Michael Spencer is a senior at ECR with a passion for capturing the energy and excitement of campus life. From the sidelines of football games to the heart of basketball action, Michael brings creativity and enthusiasm to every project.

Known for his ability to collaborate seamlessly with his peers on the student media team and partner with our marketing staff, he ensures every photo and video reflects the vibrant spirit of ECR athletics.

While Michael has a great eye for capturing our athletics events through his lens, he also has his eyes set on defending ECR's baseball title as a member of the team.

Julian Saffie is a senior at ECR who brings energy and creativity to every shot. Known for capturing the excitement of ECR athletic events—from football under the lights to fast-paced basketball action—Jordan has developed a reputation for dynamic sports photography.

When he’s not behind the camera, he’s stepping up to the plate as a key contributor to ECR's championship baseball program, balancing his passion for visual storytelling with his drive for athletic excellence.

Keely Shortall, a sophomore at ECR, brings youthful energy and fresh ideas to our student marketing team. Her athletic background gives her a unique perspective on promoting sports, making her an invaluable addition to the group.

Beyond photography, Keely excels in social media strategy—crafting posts that highlight ECR athletics and engage our community. As the only underclassman on the team, she represents the future of our marketing efforts, combining creativity, athletic insight, and a strong understanding of how to showcase school spirit online.

Miguel Markowski is a foreign exchange student at El Camino Real Charter High School who has brought a fresh perspective to the media team through his passion for videography.

Focusing exclusively on video, Miguel’s dynamic work perfectly complements the photography captured by his peers, adding depth and motion to the storytelling of ECR athletics and events. His creativity and collaborative spirit have made him an invaluable addition to the team this year.
