Important Dates

• Application Period: Saturday, November 1, 2025 – Friday, January 16, 2026

• Lottery Drawing: Thursday, January 22, 2026

• Results Notification: Friday, January 23, 2026 via email

• Enrollment Begins: Monday, January 26, 2026

Applications must be submitted by the deadline to be included in the lottery drawing.

How the Lottery Works

1. Submit your application online by January 16, 2026.

2. The lottery drawing will be conducted randomly to select applicants.

3. Families will be notified by email of their results by January 23, 2026.

4. Accepted students may begin enrollment starting January 26, 2026.

Residency & Preference Information

Please note that although there is a preference for applicants who reside within the pre-charter attendance boundary, an application is required for all families, regardless of residence.

• You can verify your address using the LAUSD Resident School Identifier tool.

• If your address is near a boundary and you need clarification, please contact admissions@ecrchs.net for assistance.

Application Preferences

Lottery preferences are given in the following order:

1. Students who reside within the pre-charter attendance boundary

2. Siblings of a current ECR student

3. Students who reside within the LAUSD attendance boundary

4. Students who reside outside the LAUSD attendance boundary

There are a limited number of spaces available. If the number of applicants exceeds available spaces, a random selection process (lottery drawing) will be held.

Only one (1) entry per student is allowed. Duplicate or falsified applications will result in disqualification.

Post-Lottery Applications

Applications received after January 16 will be considered post-lottery.

• Post-lottery applicants will not be included in the January 22 drawing.

• They will be placed at the end of the waiting list in the order received.

• Post-lottery applications will open after the January 16 deadline.

Late Entries

Applications submitted after the post-lottery period will be placed on a late application waitlist, processed in the order received.

• Late applicants will be contacted after the original waitlist has been exhausted.

Admissions & Waitlist

Following the lottery drawing:

• A list will be created of students offered admission and those placed on a waitlist.

• Applicants will be notified by email of their admission or waitlist status.

• Applications submitted for the incorrect grade level will be moved to the bottom of the list for the correct grade.

Eligibility & Notes

• Open to all students applying for the 2026-2027 school year.

• Siblings of current ECR students may receive priority consideration.

• Online applications only – paper forms will not be accepted.

• One application per student – duplicate entries will be disqualified.

• Late applications will not be included in the main lottery drawing.
